Fundraising

If you can, please help us with a donation towards the cost of the running the DNHI campaign. So far we have spent money on posters, window stickers and flyers. We have also set up a website and created a database so that we can communicate with supporters. We have teams of volunteers working on our strategy, developing communications, doing the admin and reviewing relevant policy.

Everyone is working for free.

However, we do need some funds to pay for the costs – currently covered by a loan from one of our hard-working volunteers.

If you can help, there are two ways to donate:

You can donate via
Crowdfunder

Your donation will be automatically acknowledged.  You will not be charged a fee to donate and you can donate anonymously. Crowdfunder will take a small fee from the donation. However we would love you to drop us a line at fundraising@dorsetnaturalheritage.com to let us know who you are and what you’ve given, so that we can acknowledge and thank you for your donation.

Please click here to go directly to the Crowdfunder site and learn more about the campaign.

You can pay directly into our community bank account

Please send your donation to:

Dorset Natural Heritage Initiative
NatWest
Sort code: 80-22-60
Account number: 28485562

And don’t forget to drop us a line at fundraising@dorsetnaturalheritage.com so we can acknowledge your donation.

If you can’t donate but are happy to support us please take a look at some of the suggestions on our How You Can Help page.

What else can you do?

Sign up if you haven’t already done so. Talk to your family, friends and neighbours and get them to sign up. This will keep you updated with our timely newsletters.

Put a poster in your window – especially valuable if you have a prominent street frontage – and put a sticker in your car.
Contact us at action@dorsetnaturalheritage.com for posters and stickers.
You can also print out downloadable posters.

Share your ideas about how we can make the most impact in helping everyone to understand what the Parnham plans mean for them and for us all, as well as future generations.

More about us

We are currently a community run organisation with a constitution and a community bank account with NatWest. In the future we may explore the possibility of adopting charitable status. For now we want to be fleet-footed and focus on fighting the Parnham application.

We will:
Only pay for goods and services where strictly necessary and when they are not available pro bono.
Only raise funds to pay for existing and foreseeable costs.

Thinking ahead

In the future we may have to take professional advice to have the best chance of defeating the Parnham proposals. This is likely to be expensive and run into thousands rather than hundreds of pounds. It would be very helpful to have indications of future support for professional fees if you are willing and able to do so. Please write to fundraising@dorsetnaturalheritage.com. All correspondence will be held in the strictest confidence.
